Carprovet (Carprofen) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent used to relieve pain and inflammation in dogs.
Benefits:
Carprovet is used in dogs for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, as well as the control of post-operative pain associated with soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.

Cautions:
Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, even if a drug interaction may occur. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and/or monitor your pet more closely. The following drugs can potentially interact with carprofen: phenytoin, valproic acid, oral anticoagulants, other anti-inflammatory agents, salicylates, sulfonamides, sulfonylurea anti-diabetic agents, probenecid, methotrexate, furosemide, digoxin, and glucocorticoids such as prednisone. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences an unusual reaction when different medications are given together. Allergic reaction to medications may occur. Be sure to inform your veterinarian if your pet has any knows drug sensitivities or allergies. If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic. Symptoms may include but are not limited to: swollen lips, tongue, face, airways; difficulty breath; agitation; profuse salivation; vomiting; widespread hives and itching.
SIDE EFFECTS:
The most common side effects of Carprofen for dogs include upset stomach, diarrhea, and ulcers. It’s important to look at all the symptoms to determine what part of your dog is being affected by the medication.
Usage:
Carprovet should be given orally as directed by your veterinarian.
